I do this to push myself with my art activities every so often.
Here's a list of some of the things I'm committing to do:
- Project Jose -
Raul Aguirre Jr of Man Vs Art (
[link] has taken me under his wing, serving as my art mentor, and play-art-director, in order to hone my skills. We call it "Project Jose". I've already done one piece, which you can see here (
[link], and I'm currently working on a new one. It should be up shortly, and will be posted here as well.
- Webcomic Jam -
This is a collaborative web comic experiment I took over, with a good little creative push from Ted Seko (
[link]. I gathered together 7 artists, and we took turns at webcomic strips, following each other's actions, and creating some mayhem as storywriting and art goes. It was great fun! We will start up with season 2 within next month. Here's the first season's complete work:
[link]- Guest webcomics -
Last year, a good friend from Sodapop Comics asked me to put together a guest webcomic strip for Cupcake Graffiti
[link] - here's my strip:
[link] I'm sure you recognize the style. - Another good friend asked me to do a guest strip that will be up very soon. We'll keep you posted.
There will be more odds and ends, as things happen, and you'll see things at my lab, and my impulsive sketching journal, as well as here on dA. But these things I've listed above are the main initiatives driving me to do more.
My aim is to draw and practice every day, and you'll be able to see what I'm up to in all of the following places:
The place where I first announce, post, and comment TWITTER where you can find me as: @GONZALEXX
The Mad Scientist's Art Lab:

Yep, I've been getting around, and the idea is to force myself to produce art, and improve while having fun.
Hope to see you out there, and stay tuned for more!
Thanks for dropping by! Have a great art time!
