Big Illustration Party Time is back! I'm so happy, that I had to post about it. BIPT is a freelance illustrator themed podcast by my good friends, Kevin Cross, and Joshua Kemble. It is in great part because of their helpful real life art advice, and entertaining shenanigans that I was inspired to take on my art exploration journey.... more [link]

We will see. One episode is not a whole season.

I know, Rene, but I've got a history of listening and enjoying their content to them that goes beyond all of my online art and podcast listening experience.
For that matter, Art & Story deserves serious appreciation for their influence on me. Those two podcasts really were my online inspirational "beginnings".

The first podcast that inspired me was Podcast411 by Rob Walsh. It is on hiatus now (more or less), but it followed the podcast medium from being a purely amateur (non-profit, non-business) phenomena to something you can use to promote your business, or even make a living of.

I still like those podcasts that are made to celebrate the passion for a subject without trying to promote a business. BIPT, despite its name, is no such podcast. It clearly is an instrument for edumacation. Nothing wrong with that, but it makes me sad that so few podcasts are left that try to push the boundaries of the medium. It's yer ol' talk radio with a new coat of paint.

You clearly have a much wider experience listening to podcasts content than I do. Clearly understood. I have a personal attachment with some of the podcasts I listen to, and this is one of them. Different POV then. :)
This is why I listen to some of my friend's opinions (like yours) before listening to a new podcast.

Sorry, that was Rob Walch. The spelling of his name always confuses me.
